Breakfast at Hinton’s
24 Retreads members took advantage of the hospitality at Hinton’s, 750A Wairakei Road, for breakfast on Sunday morning 16 May. We were made very welcome in a ‘homely’ atmosphere on what was a wet day – the prelude to another Christchurch winter. The Dust Devil’s, our back-road motorcycling friends that formed from our ranks some years back, were also there and added to the comradeship that is so valued in our sport.
Judging by the happy faces at our long table, and those of the Dust Devils, we suspect that Hinton’s Vineyard, Restaurant and Café may become a venue of choice for our club in the future. We may need two tables though once the word gets out?
Roast dinner and quiz night at Harringtons’ Belfast
Book now! Graham, Jo and Jenny have arranged this function that will take place at our winter coffee morning venue on Thursday evening 17 June. The mid-winter three courses set menu ‘special’ is recommended. However, Harringtons’ standard menu is also available to those that prefer…
Harringtons’ will set up their pool room area for our meal and quiz night. Prizes will be awarded to members of the winning team of four. Guests are more than welcome as the event is not just limited to Retreads members. Quiz participants are asked to contribute $5 a head to assist us in providing prizes.

Table reservations are needed for meals; numbers are important as this would greatly assist Harringtons’ staff. Please note that, if ordering the set menu, your meal needs to be ordered before 7pm. The quiz runs from 7:30 to 9:30pm.
